Janvāri, notika Baltijas Padomes kārtējā sēde. Lietuvas kustību «Sajūdls» tajā pārstāvēja V. Landsberģls, R. Ozols un B. Kuzmlcks; Latvijas Tautas fronti — S. Kalniete, J. Dinēvičs, J. Freimanis un L Godmanis; Igaunijas Tautas fronti — J. Arjamas, R. Veldemanis, A. Juntl un ITF valdes locekle M. Lauristina. <br /> <br /> Tika apspriests Baltijas valstu lekšpolitiskais stāvoklis, Tautas frontēs notikušie procesi, daudzpartlju sistēmas Izveidošana un gatavošanās republiku Augstāko Padomju vēlēšanām. <br /> <br /> Par svarīgāko uzdevumu, kas risināms 1990. gadā, Baltijas Padome uzskata Igaunijas, Latvijas un Lietuvas tautas kustību darbības koordināciju ar mērķi atjaunot Baltijas valstu valstisko neatkarību. Baltijas Padome uzskata valstiskās neatkarības atgūšanu par daudzplākšņalnu un pakāpenisku procesu, kurā svarīga vieta ierādāma parlamentiem, kas tiks drīzumā ievēlēti. <br /> <br /> Tika apspriesti ari Jautājumi, kas saistīti ar ārpolitiskai lem kontaktiem. Baltijas Padome pieņēma lēmumu sasaukt otro Baltijas asambleju 1990. gada Jūnijā Rīgā.</div>
